Airman 1st Class Brian Swanson secures two AIM-9 air-to-air missiles on an A-10 Thunderbolt after the aircraft returns from patrolling the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq on Feb. 27, 1998, in support of Operation Southern Watch. Swanson is an aircraft armament systems apprentice assigned to the 74th Fighter Squadron deployed from the 23rd Fighter Group, Pope Air Force Base, N.C. The A-10's of the 74th have been flying the zone since 1994 in support of Southern Watch.
