A B-52H Stratofortress long-range heavy bomber approaches the refueling boom of a KC-10 Extender aerial tanker for in-flight refueling over the Indian Ocean on Feb. 23, 1998. Both aircraft are part of the 2nd Air Expeditionary Group, 8th Air Force, which is forward deployed to the British Indian Ocean Territory of Diego Garcia. The Stratofortress is from the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, La. The Extender is from the 2nd Air Refueling Squadron, McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.
