Airlift operations continue as a U.S. Air Force C-141 Starlifter (left) taxis in to join a C-17 Globemaster III at an operating base in Southwest Asia on Feb. 12, 1998. U.S. Air Force personnel from the 815th Air Mobility Squadron are operating a Tanker Airlift Control Element, commonly called a TALCE, to control all military airlift traffic in and out of their deployed location in support of Operation Southern Watch which is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. The 815th is deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif.
