A U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion, or LCAC as it is more commonly called, hustles a cargo of Marine equipment from amphibious ships to the beach head at Freshwater Beach, Rockhampton, Australia, during exercise Tandem Thrust '97 on March 15, 1997. Tandem Thrust is a combined military training exercise involving 28,000 personnel, 252 aircraft and 43 ships, and is designed to train U.S. and Australian staffs in crisis action planning and contingency response operations.
