Airman 1st Class Guy Korvig (right) pours water for Chao Yang (left) inside a hangar at Beale Air Force Base, Calif., on Jan. 4, 1997. Hangars of the U.S. Air Force's 9th Reconnaissance Wing became shelters for nearly 10,000 California flood evacuees from the Yolo County area. Yang's Yuba City home was destroyed by flood waters. Korvig, a native of Boise, Idaho, is a member of the 99th Reconnaissance Squadron at Beale.
