U.S. Air Force personnel from the 5th Combat Communications Group erect a tent on April 1, 1996, at the site of where a small tent city will be built to support a U.S. Air Force Air Power Expeditionary Force which will operate out of Jordan. The Expeditionary Force will provide additional land-based air forces to augment regional assets. The deployment will also give the Air Force an opportunity to work and train with coalition partners in the region. The deployment should be completed near the end of June 1996. The 5th is deployed from Robins Air Force Base, Ga.
