The USS George Washington (CVN 73) Marine Detachment runs in formation across the flight deck of the aircraft carrier during a lull in flight operations as part of their physical fitness regimen on March 30, 1996. The George Washington and its battle group are operating in the Arabian Gulf where they are conducting air patrols in support of Operation Southern Watch. Southern Watch is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq.
