Army ManTech, a member of the Joint Defense Manufacturing Technology Panel (JDMTP), highlighted a new more durable optical lens coating at the Pentagon, July 8, 2025. The technology improves next-generation multi-band optical systems performance, boosts manufacturing yield to over 90%, and reduces component costs by 33%. The display was part of an annual event sponsored by the DoD Manufacturing Technology Program (DoD ManTech), which included exhibits and demonstrations across its portfolio. The JDMTP identifies shared manufacturing needs of the Military Services, and works with DoD ManTech to resolve warfighter challenges through technology and innovation.
