John Rowe, civilian human resources director for Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command, puts on a pair of low heels to participate in the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event. More than 100 staff members participated in the walk, which was inspired by the national domestic violence awareness event "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes," and the international "Denim Day," another observance which speaks out against sexual violence.
