U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Braedon Jennings, a transmission system operator with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, operates a satellite communications system during a simulated close air support exercise as part of a deployment for training at Misawa Air Base, Japan, June 23, 2025. Marines with MWCS-18 attached to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 214, an F-35B squadron from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, deployed to augment MAG-12, 1st MAW under the Unit Deployment Program, which provides U.S.-based units with operational experience in the Indo-Pacific.
