(May 13, 2025) Leaders from the National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs and the Joint Task Force-Support Forces Antarctica (JTF-SFA) participated in their Annual Planning Meeting to coordinate efforts, align priorities, and prepare for the challenges of the upcoming Antarctic mission season. Detachment Antarctica leadership valued the in-person engagement with both NSF and JTF-SFA project stakeholders, which provided essential insights for further project planning and execution.. NMCB-3 provides critical engineering and construction support to missions worldwide. With a legacy of excellence dating back to World War II, NMCB-3’s skilled builders and engineers continue to support scientific research in Antarctica by constructing and maintaining vital infrastructure that allows for groundbreaking studies in one of the most remote regions on the planet.
