Engineering students with California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo successfully deploy an Expeditionary Ocean Power Generator (ExOPG) they created as part of a collaboration with Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) to bring agile technology to the warfighter, Morro Bay, Calif., May 22, 2025 EXWC’s Marine Energy Development Program is partnering with Cal Poly to create a portable device that warfighters can use to harness power from the near-shore environment, allowing for the recharging of batteries without the need for resupply or stoppage in mission.
