U.S. Army wheeled vehicles have driven the force forward for more than 80 years. From the Willys MB Jeep of World War II, to the rugged High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), of the Global War on Terrorism and the modern Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV), these platforms embody the Army’s enduring legacy of mobility, adaptability and lethality. As the Army celebrates its 250th birthday in 2025, we pay tribute to these platforms that represent more than 80 years of Army mobility and support to ground forces across multiple terrains and operational environments. These vehicles represent the evolution of ground combat support and the Soldiers they carry into the future. (U.S. Army graphic by Sgt. Justin Lacy)
