Roughly 60 Arkansas Army and Air National Guardsmen are in Guatemala through May 23 participating in Exercise CENTAM Guardian 2025.
CENTAM Guardian 2025 is a multinational exercise focused on Central American security hosted by Guatemala. U.S. military forces have joined counterparts from participating Central American nations for training designed to build humanitarian assistance/disaster response functional capacity, enhance readiness to combat common threats in Central America, and promote cooperation and interoperability between participating forces.
The Arkansas National Guard and Guatemala have been paired through The National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program since 2002.
