Petty Officer 1st Class John Powel, stationed aboard the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan, helps to paint the ship's anchors gold as the ship sits in dry dock at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Bataan was awarded the Golden Anchors for meeting retention standards for fiscal year 2007.
