Approximately 90 surviving family members gather May 16 at the Memorial Garden on Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia, for a heartfelt Butterfly Release ceremony filled with both tears and smiles. Each family releases a butterfly in memory of their fallen loved one—a touching tribute symbolizing remembrance, hope and new beginnings. Hosted by Army Community Service’s Survivor Outreach Services, the event celebrates the lives of fallen service members while offering comfort and connection to their families, reminding them they are forever part of the Army Family.
