A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak helicopter crew deployed to Kotzebue, a remote area 33 miles north of the Arctic Circle, medevacs a medically challenged passenger from a cruise ship. The passenger was hoisted from the ship to the helicopter and then flown to Utqiagvik—formerly known as Barrow—for an in-air transfer to a commercial flight service.
