Kevin Friel, air boss aboard the amphibious transport dock ship Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Anchorage (LPD 23) discusses well deck operations as Navy Junior ROTC students from Robert Service High School in Anchorage, Alaska, tour the ship at its homeport of San Diego. The 16 high school seniors from the ship's namesake city were the first group from Anchorage to tour the ship as its crew prepares for its commissioning ceremony, scheduled to take place May 4 at the Port of Anchorage.
