    The USNS Vandenberg (T-AGM-10) was a Missile Range Instrumentation Ship named after U.S. Air Force General Hoyt S. Vandenberg. She wasn’t always known as the Vandenberg though. She was originally commissioned as the USS General Harry Taylor in May 1944. She was placed out of service in September 1957, but reacquired by the U.S. Navy in 1964 placed in the service of the Military Sealift Command where she was recommissioned he USNS Vandenberg. She was deactivated in 1983 and sunk as an artificial reef seven miles off Key West in May 2009.
