An Army Reserve CH-47D, assigned to the 159th Aviation Regiment based in Fort Eustis, Va., hovers over an 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boat during a maritime external air transportation system along the Pearl River in Mississippi. Special warfare combatant-craft crewmen aboard the RHIB secure the boat to the helicopter with specter slings and use a caving ladder to board the aircraft. The CH-47D can transport the RHIB over land or water.
