Growing up in Port Huron, Michigan, in a large family with eight siblings, BM2 Ali Fayyad's life was always filled with energy, competition, and camaraderie. From an early age, he developed a deep passion for sports, excelling in soccer, baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, and track. These athletic pursuits not only provided him with enjoyment but also instilled in him the values of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline—qualities that would later define his career in the U.S. Navy.
