Sonar Technician (Surface) 1st Class James Brookman, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106), lifts a little boy up to shoot a basketball during a community relations project at the Regional Institute for Active Learning center for children with disabilities. Stockdale is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions for Operation Enduring Freedom.
