III Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps Installations Pacific Marines and sailors volunteer on base and in the local community as a way to give back and make friends. The volunteer opportunities range from cleaning up local beaches to coaching in youth sport programs and assisting with community relations events. Marines on Okinawa can volunteer with several organizations on and off base ranging from school reading programs and blood drives to community cleanups and youth sports programs.
