Michael Buck, assigned to the 42nd Civil Support Team, set up an Advanced Echelon (ADVON) communication system, which provides integrated rapidly deployable, ground communications capabilities at the 2-130th Airfield Operations Battalion National Guard Armory in Salisbury, NC on Sept 28, 2024. This capability gives North Carolina National Guardsmen and NC Emergency Management communications capabilities to support operations in response to Hurricane Helene.
