The “Pando Commando” logo is a part of 10th Mountain Division history and can be seen throughout Fort Drum today. Staff Sgt. Tatsumi Iwate, a second-generation Japanese American (Nisei) Soldier assigned to Camp Hale’s Publications Office, is credited with sketching the iconic logo.
