Air Force Lt. Gen. Norman Seip, commander of the 12th Air Force and Air Forces Southern, speaks to Joint Task Force Guantanamo Airmen during an all-hands-call here, Apr. 9, 2008. Seip addressed budget issues and the increased demand for tactical air control personnel, unmanned aerial systems and cyber warfare, as well as fielding JTF-specific questions. JTF Guantanamo conducts safe and humane care and custody of detained enemy combatants. The JTF conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.
