Nearly 60 Sailors and civilians from the Naval Ordnance Test Unit came to work this morning in denim to show their support in Denim Day. Denim Day was initiated as an education and awareness campaign to help combat victim blaming in sexual violence cases. NOTU’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response team put out the call earlier in the week to wear “JEANS WITH A PURPOSE!” And NOTU did just that, with nearly half the staff coming out to show support.
