JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON – (March 18, 2024) – Rear Adm. Walter Brafford, commander, Naval Medical Forces Support Command (NMFSC), signs the Commander’s Proclamation declaring April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month at NMFSC headquarters. The proclamation will be signed by each senior commander within Joint Base San Antonio representing their respective military service. Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month call attention to the fact that sexual violence impacts every person in the Joint Base San Antonio community and its mission therein. Witnessing the signing were (left to right) NMFSC Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Victim Advocate Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Ashley Martinez-Humphrey, Navy Civilian Victim Advocates Elizabeth Saucedo and Aida Guerrero, and Navy Sexual Assault Response Coordinator Dora Keller. NMFSC develops and delivers integrated education and training that produces operational medical experts to project Medical Power in support of Naval Superiority.
