U.S. Army Spc. Eric Saum, security force team member for Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) Farah, provides security at Directorate of Information and Culture building in Farah City, Jan. 30. The PRT conducted the first of two photojournalism training sessions as a part of a broader, 15-day media training course in Farah City for both male and female journalists. This is the first media training of its kind in Farah, and it is being funded by the Farah provincial governor's office via the performance-based governance fund (PBGF). PRT Farah's mission is to train, advise and assist Afghan government leaders at the municipal, district and provincial levels in Farah province, Afghanistan. Their civil military team is comprised of members of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of State and the Agency for International Development (USAID).
