Volunteers from ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) detachments from multiple colleges and universities donated their time and excitement to setting up the NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center in Hangar 123 on Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, Dec. 21, 2023. The North American Aerospace Defense Command is a bi-national command of U.S. and Canada responsible for aerospace warning and control and maritime warning in North America 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, but adds a special mission on December 24 each year to track Santa across the globe. The ROTC volunteers joined with members of the NORAD and U.S. Northern Command Public Affairs office and other members of the Commands in order to set up truckloads of decorations in the hangar, a new location for 2023.
