A class of 5th grade students from Murray Elementary recite the Pledge of Allegiance during morning announcements at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Dec. 14, 2023. #PledgeofAllegianceDay is commemorated every year on December 28th which was the day in 1945 when Congress adopted the “The Pledge” into the United States Flag Code. The Pledge of Allegiance is often recited at public events, such as school assemblies, and is also a common part of the daily routine in many schools.
