A Marine from Beach and Terminal Operations Company Bravo, 4th Landing Support Battalion, Hunter Army Airfield, Ga., also known as the "Savannah Marines", directs mine resistant ambush protected vehicles onto the pier in preparation for upload onto the commarical cargo ship for sealift shipment to Central Command, March 2008, Charleston, S.C. The "Savannah Marines" support the Army's 841st Transportation Battalion and Surface Deployment Distribution Command by providing a port support activity during Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom depoyments and re-deployments at strategic seaports.
