Marines with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, race each other during ski lessons at the Yausubetsu Maneuver Area March 3. The Marines learned how to ski from experts with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force 6th Infantry Regiment, 5th Brigade, northern Army Feb. 29 – March 13 at Yausubetsu, a northern training ground used by the JGSDF, during exercise Forest Light II, a semi-annual bilateral exercise between Marines and the JGSDF.
