Aaron Carelock, Welder with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, welds a bracket on an aluminum panel in Marine Building One (MB1) at the district headquarters in Galveston, Texas, on Aug. 31, 2023. MB1 was recently renovated by the Memphis District and is used to perform maintenance and repairs to the Galveston District’s fleet of survey vessels and other related equipment used to do maintain the levees in our dredge placement areas.
