JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON – (Aug. 3, 2023) – Capt. Robert Hawkins, director, U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, held a Navy Nurse Corps All Hands at the Fort Sam Houston Theatre. Hawkins, who also serves as director, J3/5/7, Defense Health Agency (DHA), spoke on the history of the Navy Nurse Corps to include retention and the Navy Nurse Corps Fiscal Year 2023 Strategic Plan. Members of the Navy Nurse Corps have provided medical care to service members, military families, and others in need around the world. Navy nurses continue to work hand in hand with hospital corpsmen, physicians, dentists, and administrators to keep the nation’s warfighters in the fight.
