This is my father, William “Bill” McCreedy, after his first solo flight in 1960 during training to become a Naval Aviator. He initially flew the S-2 Tracker off the USS Yorktown and then went on to pilot the P-3 Orion. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1980 and lives with my mom near their childhood homes in Mississippi where he continues to be my hero and role model, as he always has. Love you, Dad!!
