“Following my departure from the Air Force, I continued public service with the U.S .Army Medical Department and eventually the Defense Health Agency. Our son didn’t make his appearance to my active duty spouse and I until many, many years later when my military career was but fuzzy pictures and fuzzier stories about my travels. My son’s curiosity and admiration of my time serving the public is a HUGE daily motivator for me and is always humbling. I’m reminded daily that my commitment to public service – past and present – are commitments to making the world a better place for my son.”
