230301-N-WD859-1001 ADRIATIC SEA (March 1, 2023) A graphic highlighting 120 Sailors’ names and hometowns representing the diversity of men and women serving within Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7 assigned to Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 10, George H.W. Bush CSG. Each Sailors’ name is painted on a portion of one of the aircraft within the air wing based on their performance. The graphic is meant to highlight that anyone meeting the basic qualifications and willingness to serve can make their way in the United States Navy and Naval aviation. The graphic includes hometowns in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin, and the countries Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Gambia, Germany, Haiti, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, the Philippines, and Puerto Rico. CVW-7 is the offensive air and strike component of CSG-10 and the George H.W. Bush CSG. The squadrons of CVW-7 are Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 143, VFA-103, VFA-86, VFA-136, Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 5, and Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 46. The George H.W. Bush CSG is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
