The teams participated in the 2022 CyberPatriot Competition. More than 2000 High Schools competed in this year's competition. CyberPatriot is a National Youth Cyber Defense Competition that puts teams of high school students as IT professionals charged to defend and manage a network of a small company.
Two of Wiesbaden High School teams finished in the top 20 percent and won second and third place State Awards (among overseas schools). The JROTC team placed in the top 17 percent and won the first place All Services State Award, and advanced to the semifinals.
CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air & Space Forces Association to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines critical to our nation's future.
