“I had my first deployment in 2017, and we were partnered with the Iraqi Border Patrol. So, I gained some experience on what it means to be an advisor and to work with [a] foreign partner force. It was very rewarding. I had a friend in the SFAB who told me about his similar experience to mine and I felt like it was a good opportunity for me to continue to have those experiences.”
