A C-130 Hercules taxis to parking during a dust storm at Sather Air Base, Iraq, on Jan. 30. Baghdad International Airport recently activated a Instrument Landing System which allows pilots to use aircraft instruments to land in low visibility conditions like a dust storm. Sather AB is located on the west side of Baghdad International Airport and is the largest mover of passengers in Iraq, averaging 6200 passengers weekly, and the second largest mover of cargo in Iraq, averaging more than 1,700 tons weekly.
