SAN DIEGO (March 22, 2013) - Surgeon General of the Navy and Chief of the Navy's Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), Vice Adm. Matthew L. Nathan, presents a BUMED command challenge coin to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Psychiatry Resident Lt. (Dr.) George Loeffler for his leadership and participation in the development of a BUMED campaign aimed at educating military personnel on the dangers of using bath salts. Loeffler was featured as an NMCSD subject matter expert in a video produced by BUMED titled, "Bath Salts: It's Not a Fad.... It's a Nightmare."
