WPS is a cross-cutting capability that supports U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command efforts in building the capacity of partner nations' defense and security forces, and it supports the congressional mandate for training as required by the WPS Act (2017), U.S. Strategy on WPS (2019), and Department of Defense WPS Strategic Framework and Implementation Plan (2020).
