PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola Commanding Officer Capt. Terrence Shashaty signed a proclamation Oct. 4 at the base's Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. DVAM started in 1987 as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on domestic violence issues while raising awareness for those issues. The FFSC on NAS Pensacola has a Family Advocacy Program (FAP) office to help those in need.
