U.S. Army Reserve Master Sgt. Aaron P. Shuey, an Army Reserve Career Counselor (ARCC) and area leader, is presented a gift by Sgt. 1st Class Stephen M. Cox, an ARCC, on behalf of area five ARCCs, both assigned to 9th BN Army Reserve Careers Group (ARCG), on Fort Sheridan, Ill, Oct. 13, 2022. ARCG's end state is to create a culture of trust and mission excellence, which allows each person to do their best work consistently, improve, and make significant contributions to the Group's mission and culture. Shuey’s career started in 2002 as an infantry soldier in the Army. He served in combat operations with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 which led to the liberation of three cities and the establishment of Iraq. He later transitioned to the Army Reserve and served as an ARCC with various roles and responsibilities with ARCG by sustaining the Army Reserve end strength for over 14 years.
