To raise awareness, ribbons representing the zero-tolerance policy for domestic violence, were placed around Naval Hospital Beaufort, Oct. 1. A woman is assaulted or beaten every nine seconds in the United States, domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women, more than car accidents, muggings and rapes combined.
