Documentary underwater views of a small-scale TransHab inflatable test unit, one-third the size of the proposed module, during a development test in the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) Sonny Carter Training Facility (SCTF) (08683-91, 08694). The test unit, measuring 12 feet tall and 23 feet in diameter, was used to check designs of the fabric and its attachment to a metallic core proposed for the module. The TransHab is an innovative inflatable module proposed for use on the International Space Station (ISS) as a technology demonstration for future spacecraft while also providing a large volume station habitation module. Diver caught in net at pool wall (08692). Views of deflated and torn TransHab (08693, 08695-8717).
