Commanding General Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa, meets with Dr. Tchicaya Missamou on Del Din, Vicenza, Italy, August 2, 2022. Dr. Missamou is originally from the Republic of Congo and is currently assigned as a Program Analyst (Plans) in the G5 of the United States Army Europe and Africa Command. Dr. Missamou escaped civil war in the Congo, received political asylum in the United States and received his U.S. Citizenship while serving as a U.S. Marine. After his honorable discharge from the military, Dr. Missamou earned two Master's degrees as well as his Doctorate in Leadership and Management from Chapman University. Dr. Missamou is currently visiting the SETAF-AF G5 directorate, sharing his unique insight and perspective to better improve interoperability and improve the overall approach to the SETAF-AF area of responsibility.
