Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division’s (NSWCPD) Robert Pettis has won the 2022 Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) Modern-Day Technology Leader Award. A 22-year NSWCPD veteran, Pettis Jr. currently serves as the branch manager for the Machinery Technology Research & Development Branch and has developed many significant solutions that have been used on both current Navy platforms and will be adapted for future usage.
