A dust plume blew off the coast of Saudi Arabia and over the Red Sea on November 3, 2007. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer modis.gsfc.nasa.gov (MODIS) on NASA's terra.nasa.gov Terra satellite took this picture the same day. This image shows the tan plume blowing in a counter-clockwise direction over the water, toward the shores of Sudan and Egypt. Aside from the plume, skies appear clear, giving a clean view of the arid landscapes on either side of the sea.
